Welcome to VIP Aerospace - Team Laniākea

The UH VIP Aerospace Technologies projects are designed for undergraduate students to teach with hands-on project experience, relevant aerospace technologies, and engineering principles to enable robotic exploration missions. Team Laniākea is part of the Aerospace Technologies VIP team at the University of Hawaii. We are working on developing new small satellite technologies. We have a multidisciplinary team, including mechanical, electrical, aerospace and software engineering students. This project will help to develop the core competency and understanding of the engineering project life cycle from the design phase through operations. The ultimate goal is to develop more capable and affordable exploration vehicles and successfully operate them in their relevant environments, while supporting science and exploration missions.
